Registration of Manufacturers and Exporters

ITAR

Who must register with DDTC, how the Statement of Registration is filed, what it costs, when information must be updated, and how long records are kept. Registration is a precondition to almost every license, agreement, and many exemptions. It is not an authorization to export.

Brokers register under Part 129, not Part 122 — though many firms hold both.
A lapsed registration silently kills every pending license and most exemptions.
